We recognise that a thriving local economy is critical to providing a strong tax base, which supports all of our vital public services, and that local policies must include joined-up-thinking and be designed from the ground up not to weaken that tax base or discourage essential investment and job creation.

We believe that good policy making is vital to ensure the continued prosperity of Inverness, it's people, and it's local businesses, and that any future infrastructure or city centre development proposals must be collaboratively designed from the beginning with the involvement of key stakeholders.

We will lobby for improvements to public transport, and believe that the provision of 'gold standard' levels of affordable public transport during both day and night are a prerequisite to, and must be fully implemented before, any infrastructure changes that make access more difficult by other travel modes.
​
We support active travel provisions and cycling infrastructure, while also recognising that as a regional hub city serving large parts of the Highlands that may have access to little or no public transport, Inverness must always provide full access to visitors using all modes of transport and discriminate against none.
